Rewards or ruin? Traitors take centre stage in Fast Fiction XII

War crimes? Awful. But betraying someone? Unforgivable.

In the grim-dark future, treachery is a special kind of sin. To stray from the light of the Emperor is an action punishable by death. So why do so many abandon the Imperium of Mankind?

Some people become traitors to get ahead in life, while others convince themselves that their actions are but a minor compromise in order to survive. For the more malicious of bloodthirsty, betrayal may be a mere stepping stone to abandoning their morals in exchange for unimaginable riches or power.

Traitors encourages authors to unpack the lives of Imperial oathbreakers in the unhappily ever after of Warhammer 40,000. Explore the personal cost of those who have become traitors – their conflicted loyalties, their acts of betrayal, and the victories (and victimhood) their actions have caused.

Do all traitors receive their just rewards?
